Our Story

MATT & NAT began in Montreal in 1995, inspired by the connection between MAT(T)ERIAL and NATURE.

From the beginning, we chose a different approach to fashion. We committed to creating our collections without leather or animal-based materials, while exploring innovative alternatives and recycled materials.

Our collections are designed in Montreal and include handbags, backpacks, crossbody bags, totes, wallets, accessories and more.

We believe good design should be functional, timeless and thoughtful.

That is why we continue to experiment with materials such as recycled polyester, recycled nylon and other innovative alternatives. Our bag linings are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

MATT & NAT is more than a vegan fashion brand. It is an ongoing exploration of design, materials and the idea of living beautifully.
